I currently have a computer with a C: and D: drive. The D: dirve has an i386 folder which contains all of the windows xp setup. I've tried ruinning the winnt32.exe to reinstall and all goes well. The problem is that it does not format or even erase the contants of the C: drive. When the new istall is complete all the folders sturcure in (for example) mytempfiles folder are still there. How can I run the winnt32.exe from the D: drive and have it format and reinstall windows on the C: drive?

Thanks for all the help.

Are you using this parameter in your Answer File?

"On a new, blank line under the [Unattended] section, type the following line:
Repartition=Yes
WARNING: This command instructs Windows Setup to remove all partitions on the first physical disk, and to create one partition that uses the NTFS file system on which to install Windows. This command deletes all data on the target hard disk".
