if I set up an intercept ICI key (I hope I'm saying this right) and call a non-assigned DID i think the call will come into my console (I have set up the CDB CTVN to ATN). My question is, when the console goes into NITE the calls to that unassigned DID are going to get the same treatment as every other incoming call to our main #, right? This DID needs to be answered differently, but we don't have caller ID so I need to figure out some way to have my operators identify this call so that's where I came up with simply not assigning it anywhere and having them intercept it. Is there any way i can set this intercepted DID to forward to another ext when console is in NITE? no, right? i already told my boss no, but thought I'd check with you guys anyway. THANK YOU!

Do you mean have it go to a RAN when the console is on night? can i do that for one unassigned DID?

Please let me know if the following is possible. If i publish a DID # that I don't assign to anyone and my CTVN is set to ATN then that call will intercept to my console. However, when my console goes into NITE, ALL incoming calls go to auto attendant. Is there ANY way for me to manipulate this one DID (whether I make it a CTVN or whatever I do) so that when console is in NITE it can go to an internal extension instead? I truly appreciate your help.

why don't you set it in the day table to go to the attn & create night idc table that sends it to whereever else you want

If you point that did to console and then console go’s to NITE service then all call that point to console will follow the NITE service.
Why not build acd point to voicemail create time of a day controller and during business hours point that caller to console and after business hours point to what ever you want that way you have more flexibility to control that one specific did.

thank you for the very helpful advice, stonecold. I will give this a shot.

stonecold, I just realized that you said to first point the DID to voicemail then control where it goes during time of day. I have limited ACD documentation. If i first point it to voicemail then they're first going to hear a greeting, right? that's not acceptable. The DID call needs to be answered FIRST by the console operator on her M2250 and, if she's in NITE the incoming caller needs to go to a user's ext. This can't work, can it? I came up with having the DID SCN on an M2616, set the ring cycle to 1, then fna/hunt it to an LDN I just assigned and then I was going to do call redirection by time of day, which would work great, EXCEPT, what about Saturday and Sunday??

never mind, I just found out about call redirection by day. I think I am all set. thank you everyone for all your help!

I think i thought of a way to make this work but would appreciate a second opinion. I put my DID on key 0 and set that phone for ONE ring and forward/hunt it to 0 (operator). They will see the internal caller ID because it's forward no answered to them. I think i can also set up the call redirection by time and call redirect by day so that between the hours of 6PM and 8AM the call will go to ext. 1234 after one ring, as well as on holidays. I just can't figure out yet how to set up the thanksgiving holiday, as it's not always the same day. Am I missing anything here? Please let me know. Thank you.

Yes you are correct you have to record greeting in the menu for it to work how about record 1 second of silence would that work for you, and to set holidays you can do this easily under voice services profile.

won't my above suggestion work just as well? I tested it and it seems to work great. I'm just now trying to figure out if I can make this one DID hunt/fna to the operators on a separate loop key because I programmed an ICI key but they will never notice that. Let me know if you think there's a better way.

LD 15 CDB is where you define the tables.

Then on the individual TN ('s) via CLS you open prompts which are then defined as to which tables you will use.

exactly, phonejack. But by the way, how am I going to program a holiday like Thanksgiving that doesn't always occur on the same date? Do I have to update this once a year?
