Hi,

I have an issue with NFS. I exported a file system from one host. I mount NFS mounted that file system on 2nd host. I am to create file on 2nd host. I have exported it in read write mode and mounted in rea write mode mode. When I type the touch xyz, I am geeting this error: touch: xyz cannot create.. Both are AIX machines... Please help

I had this problem a while ago! It was an issue with the hostnames! I have a cluster that i'm trying to mount the nfs filesystem to. The nfs was confusing the service IP address with the persistence one!

What is the output of exportfs on the nfs server?

What is the IP addresses and hostnames of both machines?

Are you using the same user account (root?) to access the nfs mount?

Regards,
Khalid
