I am unable to view the free space on a Netware volume after using the capture command. If I close the DOS window and open a new window I am able to view the free space but if I use capture again and use dir to view free space 0bytes is displayed as free. If I go to a workstation running the Netware client I am able to use capture and view the free space of a Netware volume with no problem.

What kind of workstation Operating System are you running on this device?

Is it strictly a DOS workstation? If so, what is the version of the VLM's you are using?

Why are you running a capture command at the workstaion? (unless this is a DOS-only workstation)

Please advise.

These are 98 Workstations and we are using capture to redirect the printer when running Clipper applications when we run certain reports in clipper we need to redirect the printer depending on what report is running.

I tried running this from a DOS workstation and didn't have this problem. I also tried running it from 95 and 98 computers running the netware client and didn't have the problem.

What version of CAPTURE.EXE are you running? -----------------------------------------------------
"It's true, its damn true!"

Are the Printers in question connected locally, or are they Network Printers?

Are you unable to assign and use a NetWare Print Server / Print Queue through Win98 to service these printers?

If the printer has a Print Queue, Print Server and Printer object created for it in NDS, you should be able to configure a Network Printer assignment right through Win98/Printers. Unless, of course, you are attempting to get away from admistering printers down to the workstation level.

Good Luck!
