This is a problem that has been plaguing me for a while now and I hope that someone here can help.
We are running Exchange 2000 with several public folders.
The problem is that a few users are unable to view attachments inside one of the public folders. This happens sporadically and doesn't affect anyone using Windows XP, only a hadful of Windows 2000 users. It doesn't even affect every document in the folder or every Win2K users, only certain ones. We have checked and rechecked the users computers and the only similarity is that they are running Win2K.
In case I haven't been clear enough here is an example:
HR director posts eval forms in the HR public folder. User 1 goes to retrieve the Excel document but cannot access it due to a permissions error. He then proceeds to check another file in the same folder and is able to access it with no problem. This occurs with Word docs and PDF's as well. I've scoured the Internet in a vain search for a solution to this problem. Is ther anyone who can help me?
