Attempting to use remote-access to deactivate call forward on a station. I have enabled the remote-access, assigned a DID, Authorization Code Required to Yes, Remote Dial Tone to Yes, barrier code, COS for console permission, COR of the station I need to deactivate.

I dial the remote access DID, input the barrier code and get a stutter type tone that becomes steady dialtone. I then try to input the FAC for call forward deactivation. It times out with a recording that says the number is disconnected or no longer in service.

Sounds like the FAC is getting treated like a phone number and trying to go out a trunk. Can you put a * or # in front of the FAC and give that a try? I'm guessing you can't trace the TAC of the trunk you're coming in on to see what's going on due to other calls on that trunk.

One-X Comm would be an easy workaround in order to enter the FAC.

The stutter tone is an indication to dial an authorization code.

set Authorization Code Required on "change remote-access" form to "n"
Try again. Turning this off will cause dial-tone to use with Remote-access Barrier Code.

I know you probably need to get your remote access working, but if you want to clear a call forward on an extension, just setup a bridge of the extension on your extension and then use that bridge to clear the forward.

I have it "DDI--VDN--VECTOR--REMOTE ACCESS DN" and that works fine, we use it for dummy sets to allow remote changes to call forward so they can go to on-call mobiles.

Like you say you should dial in and get

tone, barrier code, tone, Cancel forward feature code, tone, dn, confirmation tone.
