Unable to use keyword seach in address bar of IE 6

After upgrading w/my ISP software I'm unable to use "keywords" in the address bar of the browswer. Some of the keywords work, like ebay and ragingbull work sometimes but yahoo doesn't work, cnet doesn't work, etc. I've uninstalled the software, repaired IE, reinstalled 5.5 SP2, then upgraded to IE 6 & repaired that. Can't find any settings in Internet Options that will fix it. All the search options don't help. Any ideas?
