Unable to Uinstall or Install Integration Manager

I was unable to uninstall IM 7.5 from 4 of our 7 servers (6 citrix servers and an IIS server all on Win 2K). During the installation, the error is "error 1607: unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime."

I have run through the TK's within Microsoft and the Install Shield knowledge bases, but am still unable to install this application.

I had this issue on version 7.5 as well, but cannot remember how it was resolved. I am logging into each server as Adminstrator and it has fullcontrol of registry and Installer folder.

On the citrix servers did you change user to install mode, and make sure that under My Documents Desktop icon under properties you set the path to default, but do not copy. Another option is to dlete the installshield folder and all references to IM in the Local Machine Registry.

I am having the same issue on a server that is not a citrix server, nor does it have terminal services running. I have renamed everything within the installshield folder and everything in registry referencing IM and it does start to install, but fails with error:

Internal error 2711.sqloptimized80destination

Then another fatal error.

Why is this application so difficult to install? I've always, always have issues installing it.
