Unable to store paper selection using HP printer

Using an HP3175 multi-function laser printer I am unable to store the correct paper size (DL envelope) in an Access 2000 report (since changing to Windows 2000). The paper size reverts to B6 or A4 even if you change the paper settings in the Windows printer driver (latest version). HP say they cannot help. This printer uses "virtual LPT ports". It worked with Windows 98.
