Hi all

I have just implemeted a new win2k server running active server, I have 1 NT4 workstation logging onto the W2K DOmain, My problems comes in that once i have logged onto the win2k domain with a specified user1, i cannot share any folders or files on the NT4 WKS. If i log onto the W2K domain as the domain administrator i can the share the files on the NT4WKS, although once changing the users from W"K DOmain Admin to W2K Domain user, i loose the share. I am presuming that the User1 W2K Domain Profile is missing something that allows me to share files and folders, But being new to Active server an Management i am not sure what?

Can someone please offer any advice.

Tks

gae,

I believe this is an issue of insufficient permissions.

This is straight from the Win2K help files:

"For Windows 2000 Professional, only members of the Administrators or Power Users group can use Shared Folders.

For Windows 2000 Server, members of the Server Operators group can also use Shared Folders".

Hope this helps,
