Hi

I am running GroupWise 5.5 on a 5.1 SBS Server.

Out of the blue nobody can send out E mail to anybody with an AOL.COM domain.

Incoming mail from anybody with an AOL.COM mail address is received with no problems.

Nothing has changed in the Groupwise setup.

The only indication of a delivery failure that the user gets is the message "The mesage that you sent was undeliverable to the following" followed by the address that the mail was sent to.

Anyone any ideas?

Regards

Jules

AOL has an anti-spam system that will block a domain in a heartbeat if too many mails are sent to too many aol.com recipients with too many keyword hits or other spam indicators.

There is a way for aol.com users to request that your domain be opened up but I don't know exactly how it works. Hope that points you in the right direction.

all you need is a PTR record for your GWIA. Your reverse DNS is not set up right. If you telnet to port 25 of one of the AOL servers, the policy is written into the error message you'll get.
