what's the deal? it sits in my outbox and will not send. i narrowed it down to the fact that I just moved homes and my new home uses att/yahoo DSL. my old home used time warner cable, and sent with no problem. with att/yahoo it just sits in the outbox and does not send. suggestions?

Who's your account with? If you had a TW account, and now you're trying to send mail to it through ATT, I can see that not working.

If, however, your account is not linked to either, that's another story.

What error do you get when you click 'Send and Receive'?

no error, just sits in my outbox. changed the outgoing mail server to ATT. Do I need to change my logon info also to ATT?? that might be it. I dont want to touch anything just in case.

Do I need to change my username/password in email account settings to ATT? or just the outgoing mail server? this sucks. with time warner I used all my own info for logon info, outgoing mail SMTP, etc. even with my gmail account in outlook, same thing......

First, OE should present some kind of error message about why it's not sending. Do you get the send/recieve status dialog when you click send & receive? You should, and there should be a tab for error messages.

Anyway, in general, your sending settings need to be set in accordance with whatever is required by your outgoing mail server. If you use ATT's smtp server, you need to change your settings to their requirements - this might include authentication or pop before smtp. Your best bet would be to ask them about the correct settings or usually you can find it on their website in the customer/user area.
