Unable to send internet email in Outlook

One of my users has been unable to send internet email for a couple of weeks (only discovered it this morning).

They can send and receive internal email and have been receiving external email.

I've checked all the settings in Outlook properties and they seem ok. I can send internet mail from another profile on the same computer.

I've retyped in all the correct settings but still no good. I don't get any error messages, the mail just sits in the Outbox without going anywhere.

any suggestions as to where I look now would be appreciated.

Talking to myself here....would reinstalling MSProxy client help?

Have you deleted the mail that is stuck in the outbox?
if it is corrupt you will have to delete it shut down Outlook reboot and start over,

Problem solved. In the end I deleted their profile from Outlook and reinstalled them. This seems to have corrected the problem.
