Hi,

I have an issue where I can't select the tick box for sds under the authorization profiles. It's greyd out. Never seen this before.

Have sds enabled under system options assignment.
Any ideas?

Isn't sds a system programmed user name used by SDS? I don't think you're allowed to change anything about the sds user.

If I remember correctly, username "sds" with password sds was part of the default template from Mitel in the Rel 6 or 6.1 software. It is considered to be a higher level password than the default username "system". If you log in with the sds username, you can then assign the sds ability to any "lesser" username. I'm pretty sure that this sds username and password are gone in Rel 7. I apply a template fairly quickly from out of the box, but I don't remember seeing sds lately.

login as system / password then you can add sds to your own login.

Using system/password may not work at rel 6.x software as there was a specific sds/sds profile created for this "higher level access", but that access was not given to the system/password profile. At Rel 7.x, the default system/passsword profile has the sds checked off, so you can create other profiles with that same accesss.

I guess the question should be, "Are you using the default profile to log in or are you using one you have created?"

If you are using one that you created and have since deleted the default ones, you may be in a pickle!!! If this is the case, get Mitel Tech support involved. They may know of a way to get around the problem without defaulting the system and reprogramming. Otherwise, defaulting the system might be what you have to do inorder to get the access back!

It's a 3300 LX and have never deleted any user accounts. I did upgrade from release 6.xx. I'm unable to select the sds options under any of the existing or new accounts...

What is the default sds password? I haven't tried logging in with this yet...

thanks in advance

username sds
password sds

Good luck
