I have an XP Pro machine with a novell client loaded on it. I am unable to browse the entire network as in 2000. I found a fix on microsoft.com but I am not sure it applies to this problem. Maybe it wasn't configured properly on install. How can I correct this problem?

Under Network Connections, right-click your LAN Connection, Properties.

. Is the Novell Client appearing?
. For some earlier Netware servers, you need the IPX/SPX protocols installed.
. Is Clients for Microsoft Networking, and File and Printer Sharing there?
. Double click TCP/IP. Click the Advanced button, go to the DNS tab, and enable 'Netbios over TCP/IP.'

Reboot and look again.

The Novell Connection shows up in My Network Places. Client for Microsoft Networks,Remote Managment,File and Print Sharing , NWLink NetBIOS, NWlink IPX/SPX and Internet Protocol are all checked.

I enabled Netbios over TCP/IP and rebooted. Still unable to see the entire network.

(Thanks)

I do not see in your listing either the MS or the Novell client.

Is the issue that the other workstations and/or servers do not appear at all, or that they appear and you get an error when trying to use shared resources?
