Hi,
My hoem directory is located on another system and has to be mounted onto my workstation when I login in. i.e. when I login I should be at /home/nappaji.

But, when i login , it says
Couldnot change to /home/nappaji.

Could some one explain why this happens and if there is a fix.

thanks

If your home directory is NFS mounted from another machine, the NFS client/server could be having a problem. Try "mount -a" to see if it will re-mount /home. If not, check out the activity in syslog to see if NFS has been producing errors.
