Hello

One of my remote users is unable to scroll in any applications.

He is using a Lenovo R61 - Type 7735-cto with Windows XP Pro.

One strange thing I did notice was the cursor changed to a Scroll Bar when I opened Mozilla FireFox, so it seems a scrolling lock-type function has been activated but cant see where. He only reported problem today, but said it has been on/off for about a month or so now. But goes back to normal when he reboots, then apparently it just suddenly does it. I have asked whether he is leaning on any keys or anthing (similar to stickykeys) but he assures me he isnt.

Anyone have any ideas at all?

Thanks
James

Is there a "mouse suite" on this pc? Usualy can be found in either control panel or the system tray. if so, try removing readding. My touchpad software used to randomly crash out, a reinstall fixed it.

Only the truly stupid believe they know everything.

Check in startup (Start==>Run==>msconfig==>Startup) that the pointing device driver (usually Synaptic) is set up up to load at Windows startup.

Download and install TweakUI and use it (Start==>Run==>tweakui) to be sure scrolling is enabled. Best of luck.
