Unable to save/open qxd file

I have Quark Express Passport 5.0

After creating a file, I am unable to save it further
Error Message: I/O Error trying to read or write to disk [36]

I am unable to open what I had managed to create.
Error Me3ssagge: Bad file format [70]

I am able to open previously created files

I am unable to open the "error files" in other computers with the same program.

I ran a full system NAV scan and no virus were found anywhere.

I would appreciate any explanation and/or solution to this perplexing problem.
