Unable to save new appointments in outlook

Hi,

I'm running outlook 2000 and I'm having an issue saving appointments in the calender. I'm getting an error

"The item could not be saved to this folder. The folder has been deleted or moved, or you do not have permission. I can't see how the folder could have been deleted or moved because old appointments still show on the calender.

Can anyone help?

Try this first:
Run the scanpst tool to fix any errors on the PST.

Thanks for the quick response and shame on me for not being clear.

There is no PST. Outlook is connecting to an Exchange 2000 server. Sorry about that.
