I am fairly new to SQL Server and I am having difficulties with saving my DTS packages to my development server.

I installed SQL Server 7.0 on my notebook as a Desktop Edition when I initially began using SQL Server. I have now set up a development environment on a remote server running NT Workstation 4.0 to develop a pilot datamart. I have had no problems accessing or utilising the SQL Server on the remote server except for saving DTS packages.

I seem only to be able to save DTS packages onto my local SQL Server. I am able to create packages that use the remote server. I am able to execute them and can save them to file and reopen them without any problems.

However whenever I try to save them to the remote server they 'disappear'. That is I cannot see them through the Enterprise Manager.

Could anyone give me any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong?
