Unable to save Changes to Templates 1

I use an older version of Act! Act!2000,in fact mainly for mail merge applications. The Program will not let me edit an existing or new Template. Platform is Windows 2000 professional. This is a recent development and I wonder if any one has met it before and knows what to do.
Grateful for any ideas.

Thank you Mike, Suppose the Template is a letter for mail merge and I wish to edit for some changes. Write-- edit Template-- Select template-- make change to body copy-- save change get "You are denied acess"
Pass word is OK so I am a bit baffled.

What happens if you Save_As with a different name?

Could the folder or file be marked as Read Only?
