unable to run topas on AIX 5L

Hi everybody,

Here's the point:

Suddenly cannot run topas cmd on AIX 5.2:

Error message:
topas: Unable to initialize Spmi interface
Spmi: Common Memory locked by process 155810, requestor: 193106 (SiInit)


But the process with the id 155810 doesn't exist!

Suggestions?

Looks like a bug in 5.2.

I would search for latest updates from IBM. "Long live king Moshiach !"

Installing bos.perf.tools 5.1.0.35
makes all these APAR be installed:
IY18536 topas is showing only the first 6 digits of PID
IY19178 topas problems
IY19900 topas display may not be the HOT resources
IY24914 Improving redistribution of lines on topas display
IY25600 topas Memory Leak Problems
IY28139 topas doesn't show all of long dev names
IY31840 topas not sorting disks
IY33020 Topas locks SPMI & hinders xmservd

But stil can't run topas.

So I stoped HACMP in foced mode and then I could run topas again.

May be installing bos.perf.tools 5.1.0.35 will avoid the problem again.
