As part of an exchange migration we're changing users outlook profiles. there is a batch file to do this which runs as part of the login script. However some users have locked down builds, which prevent them getting access to C:\winnt. As a result the batch file cannot run.
Is there a utility in NT4 that provides the same functionality as 'RUNAS' in W2K. If there is we could have the batch file run using admin credentials an update the profile, without having to give the users any extra rights.
I've managed to find instsrv.exe in the resource kit, this allows executables to be run as a service, so might help. Any ideas what rights users will need in order to run instsrv.exe & install the exe - obviously if this cannot run we can't use it to run the batch exes.
Many thanks, Dave
