Dear friends,
I would like to discuss the problem regarding the DCOM configuration(s):
I created an DCOM component which is an Active X Exe, this component uses a set of Active X dll's that do the specific tasks like Database operations etc.
Now I successfully created the DCOM server setup and launched it at the server m/c.
But my DCOM client setup behaves abruptly at different m/c's.
The statistics is as:
1)NT workstation 4.0 SP6,Same domain -giving error 70,Permission denied.
2)NT workstation 4.0 SP5,Different domain-error no 429, Active object cann't create object.
3)NT workstation 4.0 SP6/95 SP5, Different Domain -works fine for all validation related DCOM API's but creates problem when it Retrieve/Fetch some data at client m/c(429: Active X component cann't create object)
The settings for DCOMCNFG are proper.
If you can analyse and think some reasons for not working at different m/c's (Abrupt behaviour), I will appreciate you.
Thanx and Regards,
Mukesh Gupta
