Hi:

When I try to refresh a report through infoview. I am getting above error with description
"The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect."

I provided the db credentials properly still I am getting error. I am using a trial version CRYSTAL REPORT SERVER XI.

Thanks,
jchennuri.

I would guess that the credentials aren't quite right, or you don't have the proper connectivity installed on the Server.

Whenever you post about databases, please take the time to include the type, version and the connectivity you are using.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. Sqlserver 2000 is installed in one box. Crystal report server is installed in another box, where I created a dsn - through ODBC connectivity I am connecting db.

If my credentials are not proper - why would I get problem only at the time of refreshing data?

Do you think if the connectivity is not proper the data would be populated for the first time.

Do you look at an instance of a scheduled report and then hit Refresh?
If that is so, check under which useraccount the ReportJobServer and the Page/CacheServer are running. You can check that in the Central Configuration Manager.
If the username differ try to use the same useraccount for the Page/CacheServer that you use for the ReportJobServer.

If you use the Advanced DHTML Viewer, try it with the DHTML or the ActiveX Viewer.

Let me know if that helps.

Hi:

I tried with scheduling and without scheduling.

My ReportJobServer and Page/CacheServer have same user account(local system). It is different from credentials I am providing for the db login.

I am not sure whether I am using Advanced DHTML viewer or not How to check that and change them?

Thanks for your help.
