Unable to retrieve folder information from the server.

The server "" timed out. the current request did not
complete
succesfuly.
This is a 'microsoft development environment' message.
this happens when im trying to refresh my project, and
that was needed because i cant save the local copy of the
files in my project
(error "cannot update the file <the path>. server error:
cannot create file "<file name>"
i tried reinstall my IIS 5.1 , and it didnt help.
any idea?
urgent help will be most appriciated
