Hi,
When i tried to restore some data from tape i recieved this error message:(file list unavailable)

anybody encounter this before?
thanks

Where ever you are running the restore from - It is not seeing the master server and as such cannot read the images directory.

Try the same restore from the master's console.

Can you please give a run down on the following:
What O/S on the master?
On the client?
What kind of restore - Files, database etc?
Where is the tape drive attached - Master?
Can you browse the files in the restore GUI?
Do you have a databse backup running while you are trying to restore?
What version of Netbackup - 3.4.1, 4.5 etc?

Master - Windows 2000
Client - Windows 2000
files restore
tape drive attached to Master
able to browse the files in GUI
no backup is running during the restore
netbackup 3.4.1

Can you clear out the bpcd file for today so there is none - The name should be netbackup\logs\bpcd\021703.log - The retry the restore.

After it has failed - email me the bpcd log. pgphantom@hotmail.com - When you email it, please quote this thread.

THanks
