Unable to restore or copy files to data volume 2

I have a NW6 (SP4) server data volume that I am unable to restore to (via backup exec 9.1 for netware) or copy files to. I have run a pool verify and it as found no problems/errors.

There is data currently on the volume but no user data and I can browse and open existing files.

I can copy/restore the same data to other volumes but not this one. The source and destination volumes have the same name spaces and same flags.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Run a volume check with DSrepair, see what it says.

is it compressed?
asking this as you cannot restore compressed data to an uncompressed volume
although this is more a prob going from trad to nss as the default changed

Your point about compression turned out to provide the solution.

Have since uncompressed the backup and restored it to the volume with success.
