Hi All

Using Windows 2003 with BE 9.1. Not a major problem but would be nice to fix.

A long time ago I ran an inventory of a tape and for some reason or the other the server crashed and was rebooted. On reboot this incentory job is sitting in my "current jobs" window in a "ready" state and the job type as "unknown". Now its been in there for a couple or months, the rest of my jobs run fine and I can add new jobs and so on but I am unable to remove this one job from the list. When I try to delete it, I get a warning sating are you sure you want to delete the job and I say yes but the job is still there. I have rebooted the box many times since this problem.

Any help would be great, thanks in advice.

only thing i can think of is re-installing Veritas. However i would check under windows explorer under the Verias folder. I seem to remember that tehre is a folder that holds any scheduled jobs etc and you may be able to delete it under there

If you have enterprise manager installed you can edit the database to remove the stuck jobs. All you need to do is search for the JobID and beJob ID in the Jobs table and then delete that row out of the jobs and bejobs table. It is easier to do than uninstall and reinstall. You could also write a script and run it through osql
