I have two sets in one of my remote offices, they have 2616 sets running on an Opt 11C.

Problem: They call into a conference bridge, when ready to disconnect from the conference bridge they simply hang up their phoneset. The phoneset will not release and to get the set back I have to disable/enable the set.

One of the persons said that this also occurred when trying to disconnect from Call Pilot.

I called out our maintenance provider to investigate, he responded that it was internal to the set/PBX?

Internal to the set/PBX? even if it is tell him to fix it, it's not normal.

I have experienced this same exact problem on an 11C with Rel23 software with a different model set. This only occurs after conf calls. Vendors have no answer except to go into LD 32 then disable and re-enable the set.

If the Vendor can't fix the problem, it is there responsiblly to get Nortel involved, not just say that's the way it is.

I have seen this problem on an Option 61 when conferencing to an extension and the voice mail picks up. If you establish a conference between an outside line , you and Call Pilot , the phone won't release. It looks like a Nortel bug. Here is a quick workaround : when you transfer and Call Pilot picks up , hit Transfer to end the call.

I had this problem and the vendor installed these two patches.Q004860 ISS1:1OF1 CORE 24/04/03 p16661_1.11c
