Users using Office 2000 unable to read documents sent to them from users who created the documents in Office 2003.
There must be an easy solution to enable these users to read these documents.

Try opening a new document and use Insert_File.

However, if it is possible for the sender to save the document in rtf before sending it, there would be less trouble.

The best way for the Word2003 users to make sure their *.DOC files are compatible with Word2K is to select "Disable features after Word97" under Tools -> options -> Save tab.

I to am getting this issue reported to me, the people who created documents in Word 2003 cant open them in Word 2000.
Is anyone else aware of this issue and is there an updated patch for Office 2000 to fix this issue?
