I have added a member server to my domain to act as an SMTP server. When using Active Directory Users and Computers I can see it in the Computers container. However, if I attempt to manager it I get the message:

"\\spock.ccmltd.co.uk cannot be managed. The network path was not found."

Neither can I find the server through Network Neighbourhood. It is on the network with a valid IP address and is functioning well as an SMTP server!

Can anyone shed any light as to what may be causing this.

Many thanks

Yes, it has both a Host record and a Pointer record in the DNS. I am sure these are working as the Outlook clients resolve the server name correctly, and nslookup can also resolve the name.
