We are having a problem when users are standard ie no permissions

if they try to print a PO they get the following
error

unhandled database not completed at initiating scripts exit implicitly rolled back

if I give them admin right it ok but oviously do not want to do this

using GP 6.0 and crystal report 8

i have heard it is a registery error and it just about giving a registry key the right permissions

if any body has any ideas it would help greatly

thanks

How are you linking the printing of a GP PO to use crystal? Can they print the report within Crystal without error?

Is everything else except this working without the users having admin rights? We have had many situations where we had to give users admin rights for other functionality with GP 6.0. This has changed with newer versions of Great Plains.

Hi

yes crystal is ok, we do have a few other problem that need people to have admin rights, it all seemed to happen at once 1 day it was working and then it just stopped and i had to give every body admin rights

no updates or new programs had been added

Nothing changed on your server(s) or the network at all? If this is a global issue, I would think something had to have happened on a more global level....

In any case, it might take you more time to track this down than it is worth. And I think I recall reading in a 6.0 manual or TK article that admin rights are needed for GP 6.0.

If users having admin rights is a problem, and since 6.0 is no longer supported, you might want to consider upgrading. We have done extensive testing with 7.5 and it does not require users to have admin rights.

thanks for the advice the company are looking in to up grading so that hopefully will sort it out
