Hey all,

I spoke with a friend who noticed their desktop printer (HP DeskJet 952c) had the low ink light flashing, so they replaced the color cartridge that was empty. Now when printing, no document is able to print color.

I checked to be sure the ink tape was removed, cleaned both cartridge and printer contacts, and checked to be sure it wasn't configured to print only B&W. All looks good.. Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks!

Run a test page from the printer itself, which should be in color. If it isn't, then it's a printer issue. If it IS, then it's a software/configuration issue.

Just my 2¢

Carts can be expired, and maybe just shelf lifeed out.
always check dates on carts.
try this: use a paper towel with a bit of iso-alcohol ont, and set the printhead on for a fewseconds, and slowly drag it an inch or so. so a few times until you see ink.

Thanks.

Ran a printer test page - not printing color.

Will check cartridge date and damp a towel with alcohol to clean and update back.

no clue whats with this, still unable to print color.
I'll end up swapping it with a spare.

I'm having the same issue. Lights were blinking to signal low ink. I bought HP "compatible" ink cartridges, they didn't work, purchased HP cartridges, now nothing prints. When I do a test page, I get a quarter inch of faded colors on one side, and the rest blank. It printed perfectly prior to changing cartridges.
