I have a session which writes a flat file to the Unix Server on which PowerCenter is running. I have verified that the file is there (VI in Unix) and that permissions are OK.
If I try to 'preview data' on either the mapping or the the target analyzer, the flat file name screen browse option only shows folders on my client drive and even if I put in the full Unix path name I still get the message '....file not found. Please verify file name'. It doesn't seem to recognise that it should look on the Unix server, not on my client files.
I downloaded the file to my server and was able to preview that file with no problems, but that isn't going to work when I start working with real data.
Any suggestions as to how to get it to look on the server?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
Laurie
