I got this need for speed(NFS) comp game.
I have two computers running winXp service pack 2.
I can play NFS on one but i cant play it on the other.
Every time i run the executable on the one that cant play
i get the following error:
openGL selectPixelFormat failed :hardware acceleration not supported. Try changing color depth. i tried all color depths and it still didnt resolve the problem.

i tried to play hitman on the same machine it says
Direct3D: No suitable hardware found.

Note: the machine that cant play is newer than the one that plays.

how can i resolve the problem ?

Looks like the video card on the newer one can't handle the games.

You should check the requirements for the Games, and make sure the machine can accommodate those requirements.

With that said, what type of video card does the new machine have, and what type of video cards do the games need?

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

well of course we don't know your specs (first thing to put down when posting) saves us guessing!!!!!

But if I have to "guess" I would say it is likely that video/chipset drivers are not properly installed.
It certainly wouldn't hurt to install the latest drivers for both motherboard chipset(AGP) and Video card drivers.
