Unable to ping myself.

I have set-up /etc/resolv.conf with the name of the DNS nameserver and my domain.
I've entered hosts=local,bind4 into /etc/netsvc.conf

However, I can ping anyone on the network but myself, either by name or IP address. I can ping 127.0.0.1 okay.

Any ideas what the problem is down to?

Look forward to hearing any suggestions.

Found the problem eventually! The broadcast address had been populated when it should have been clear. Where are those network guys....
