Newly installed Tri homed server - 1 internal 1 external and 1 DMZ card. ISA setup and configured to allow http and smtp. Clients can use web proxy to see out on the internet and retrieve information, but from the internet the external IP address is not pingable. If ISA is restarted the network card can be pinged during boot up but quickly becomes unavailable. The event log shows no errors pointing to the the NIC. Has anyone had anything similar? Effectively incoming clients cannot connect to the domain until I have this resolved

Found the answer to this. By default you cannot ping the ip address unless you specify add a filter to allow you to. DOH!!
