Unable to open report from infoview or CMC

Hi,

we scheduled our daily reports in a new server last night and they ran successfully. when we click on the instance, the report doesn't open. the status bar progresses very slowly, but does not open the report. what could be the reason for this? any help is appreciated.

Try posting technical information.

This "we scheduled our daily reports in a new server" doesn't describe anything, state the software used and it's version, and if this is a new install of the software, or whether you are exporting to a new server, and if the resulting files do exist where they should.

we are using BOXI. we imported reports from an exisiting anf working server into a new testing server. the page server seems to have some problem. i get an error - Error with page server. contact the system admin.
 
Sounds like you have a bad install to me.

Does the new server run other reports (not imported)? Is the other server XI as well?

btw, there's a service pack out for XI.

i think it is a bad install. we contacted BO support. when we initially installed BO on the new server, it did not have IIS. since we enabled IIS now, BO support feels we need to re-install BO enterprise and reschedule all the reports. we are trying to do that now. thanks anwyay.
 
Yeah, you should have IIS installed and running prior to installing, it should have warned you during the install.
