Using office XP standard. When I go into calendar I get the message "unable to display folder. One or more parameter values are not valid". I have tried detect and repair and also reinstall option. I did not uninstall and reinstall. Also outlook will shut down from time to time with an illegal operation message. Help

Are you still on SP1?

That's probably your issue. I would upgrade to SP2 or SP3. Everything I saw on the web referenced SP1 having issues with "Unable to display folder".
