After adding a workstation running Win XP Pro SP-2 to a Win2K domain and have it working well for several months it has become necessary to move it to another location and I must change the IP address and gateway.

When I try to open the properties box, a pop up window opens informing me that I do not have permission to view or change the properties and that I should contact my administrator.

I am logged on as an administrator with domain administrator permissions.

Can any one help???

Have you tried logging on with the Local Adminstrator account (not domain admin or user with domain admin)?

Yes I have tried as local and domain administrator, still have same problem!

As local admin, same issue? That is strange. You can try and uncheck TCP/IP - re-boot - then unistall and reinstall the TCP protocol from the Network Properties. Sorry, I have not run into the issue you are describing so I'm only suggesting what I would try next if I were in your shoes...
