Hello !!
(sorry for my bad english)
We have a SAN network with a tape library Exabyte 221L FC.
After shutdowning and restaring all server connected to the LTO, One server display this error wher performing any backup:"Unable to open media (Media=(Media Label), EC=BAD DEVICE NUMBER)"
we have ArcServe 9.0 in Windows 2003 server.

Any advices.

This Distributed server is getting bad device information from the Primary.

The Tape Engine on the Distributed servers should be started only after the Primary is finished initiliazing.

OS drivers should not be loaded on any system that sees the library. See "Which Driver Should I Use? faq478-3987" for details.

Current updates should be installed on all the ARCserve servers.
