Unable to open Hyperlink from IE6

i have recently updated from IE5 to IE6. since then i'm not able to go to any sites after clicking the hyperlink. this problem i have in IE6 and Outlook Express.

for example if i open any thread in this Tek-Tips and if any links given on the msg like

http://www.microsoft.com.

if i click on this text nothing happens. when i had IE5 the site will be opened automatically.

Anyone can help me
