I have several W2K users who are experiencing problems with file associations. They double click on a file in explorer (i.e. jpg, xls, doc etc) and get a message saying that it is an unknown file format. They are however able to open the file however through the application. I have tried
- re-associating the file extensions with the application
- ensuring that the users have suitable permissions
- running service pack 2 for office and
- running upgrade to windows

any ideas?
