Unable to open file in Word?!?!

I have been working in a Word file which I saved periodically. Word crashed and when I came to attempt to reopen the file the following message appeared.

The document name or path is not valid try these suggestions;
-Check the file permissions for document or drive
-Use file open dialog box to find file

I have tried both of these but the message keeps appearing every time I try to open it.

Any ideas ?

Are you using a Novell Server ?
