unable to open ... error compiling delphi component

When I attempt to install a delphi component in BCB6 I get an error "unable to open file ABCC.lib" even though there is no reference to the ABCC compnents anywhere in the project or the component list etc.
any ideas anyone?

The reference may be in the resource file somewhere.
