Unable to Open Desktop file

I am using Notes 5, and every couple of days I get the following message when I try to open Notes: "Unable to Open desktop file. Notes may have terminated abnormally during an earlier session. Please log off and restart before running Notes again" Notes usually has not been terminating abnormally, so I don't know why I'm getting these messages, but after I reboot everything is fine. It's just a hassle to have to reboot. Any suggestions on resolving this would be appreciated.

there used to be zapnotes to kill processes after a notes crash in V4.

if not using zapnotes a logout/login is usually sufficient.
in V5 i did not experience many notes crashes anymore, i don't even have zapnotes installed anymore.

anyway, I think the reason are some 'lost' notes processes.

I got zapnotes and it works fine - don't know why I have this problem but zapnotes makes it easier to live with. Thanks.
