I have been unable to open or attach any attachments from outside of my local network. Has anyone ever run into this problem?

Not really - need more info? Are you using Worldclient, or POP3, or IMAP? What client program, and what type of attachment? Also, what version of MDaemon?

I got it working. Just recently upgraded my PIX's IOS and it had fixup protocol skinny 2000 enabled. Thanks for the help.
