Unable to Open Appointments in Outlook XP

Hello,

I have user who creates a recurrence in there calendar, then they try and edit the 'occurrence', save it and close it. Then they try to open it again and they get the following message:

Cannot read one instance of this recurring appointment. Close any open appointments and try again, or recreate the appointment.

Click 'ok' and the appointment opens but they can't see the changes.

If they close Outlook and open it again they can see the 'occurrence' as normal and see all changes they've made.

We’re running an Exchange 2000 server and the user has an Ipaq that they sync with.

Any ideas?

I have the exact same issue and my user also has an Ipaq...wondering if that's the problem?
 
I recently upgraded there ActiveSync to the latest version, 3.8., they were running 3.7.1 before. So far they haven't complained about having the problem.

Someone else told me to delete formscache file in the person's profile as it recreates itself...which I did, and that resolved the issue as well, thanks for the tip on Active Sync!
