Using XP Home Edition I am unable to open, run, install or use any new anti-virus program or online virus scan. I have tried to install 4 different programs and tried to run the one that is already installed along with trying three online virus scanners, all of them quit before loading. What is going on as the installed program was NAV 2005, did something get by it?

thanks for any help as I don't want to format

try running the hoster, a virus might have corrupted your host file!

Download the Hoster from: UnZip
the file and press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program.

this one will fix any trusted that might have been placed on your computer.

Download DelDomains.inf from here:

Rightclick DelDomains.inf and choose install.

Thank you all for your replies as you sent me in the right direction. Seems I had a virus get by Norton 2005, the virus was SirCam and it keeps you from opening a program with an exe. file extention. I again went on line and used Panda active scan which found and eliminated it along with a few other pests.

So thank you all again
